I am a runner, friend, crazy lady, lover of fun, complex about what I eat, girlfriend, Australian, blogger and social media lover. I finished a law degree last year, and plan not to use it. Instead, I’ve opened a tutoring centre and am having the time of my life running my own business.

Did I mention I run?

I ran my first marathon last year, and recapped it in full gory detail.

What’s the Deal with Run with Kate?

Good question!

It’s a place to share my running adventures, admit to some ridiculous failures, enjoy life, and meet some amazing people. There’s more about me (the person) on my about page.

I post each night (Australian time – in the morning US time). You can find my popular and favourite posts here.

When I started getting ready for the marathon, I needed a place to share my thoughts and adventures. I was linking into the running community, and loved reading about other runners. In fact, some of my favourite bloggers are listed on my ‘Happy Bloggers’ Page, where I pick some of my favourites to share with you.

The blog has grown to incorporate a lifestyle with running at its centre. I don’t run professionally. I’m not even particularly fast. Like a lot of you, I started jogging, got a little more serious about my running, and now can’t imagine a life without some kind of training.

Well, those of you who want to be here. If you love running (or reading about running ;-)

), enjoy seeing the humour in stupid things, and like people who are honest through the good and bad, then this is a site for you.

 

Run with Kate is not…

A mummy-blog, spam service, fiction or personal training service.


When I have a made up face picture, I’ll probably post it out of excitement. Most of the time, this is what you get – me, without make-up, and frequently sweaty. This is real life (for this runner, anyway!)

 

It is also not a place where it is ever ok to make anyone else feel bad. I started this blog to feel good, even when the shit hits the fan. Most days, I have a daily ‘moment’, and I use Mental Mondays as chance to throw out a negative thought. (That doesn’t mean no constructive criticism though – feedback away!).

I’m not explaining in excruciating detail what I ate for breakfast – but if I have a mind-blowing meal or a recipe that rocks my socks, it will likely make it onto the blog.

From time to time I host give-aways and reviews, and I always, always tell you when I’ve been paid or given a product for free. The majority of content on the site is by me, and that’s how I like it.

I consider all of my readers friends, and a comment will endear me to you for life. Hopefully you got that in the non-creepy stalkerish tone in which it was meant.
