So, first of all, I couldn’t wait until US time – in Australia, it’s Monday, which means…
Here’s mine -
My negative thought today is: The last thing I want to do today is my honours thesis – it’s boring, and I have no real interest in it. (Read: I would rather be eating chocolate, running and planning Sunday’s race outfit).
I’m replacing it with: Once it’s done, I can graduate and start focussing full time on the things I love. Go get ‘er done!
What’s your Mental Monday negative, and what’s the positive you’ll focus on instead?
Take me with you!

Guess what?! Amy and Mardi were royalty for a day yesterday, and it hasn’t ended. The last bit of this prize is a shout out on today’s post.
Mardi is my auntie – as you’ve seen, she’s a talented writer, and exceptionally kind. She lives about 1000km from me, but that doesn’t stop her being an incredible support and friend.
Mardi helped me out when I first started uni, sent me books to read and relax with when I was going through a rough patch, and always checks in with me. She also went on one of my first 5km with me, about a year ago. I believe she first suggested that I could do a half marathon. It got to me.
Someone commented yesterday that it’s a shame Mardi doesn’t have her own blog. I agree
. Mardi, we know you have a business and a big family and a zillion other things to do, but now you’ve got that Masters Degree sorted, want to get onto the online world?
Amy blogs at Thoroughly Nourished Life, and is a runner and foodie. A thoroughly nourished life satisfies the mind, body and sole, and she sees her blog as the kitchen table, where everyone can sit, relax, and share.
Amy is genuine, kind, and an incredible cook. She studies writing, editing and publishing – reading her blog you know you’re in safe hands!
Amy’s banana crumb cake – get the recipe here.
Well, it’s morning, but last night I got to hang out with the ever awesome Sam and Chris – good friends can’t be beaten!
Mental Monday moment? What’s your negative and what’s the positive?
Who would you love to give a shout out to?
